Anam Iqbal was born in Paris and raised in London. She holds a bachelor’s degree from UCL (University College London) and a MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford. Having completed two dissertations based on gender inequality and human rights, she has a keen interest in activism and, in particular, women’s rights. She is a writer, poet, essayist, activist and intersectional feminist.
Alongside having studied a discipline that analyses the nature of humanity in multitudinous ways, she has spent most of her life in London’s deeply multicultural society and learnt much about people by simply looking around her. This interest manifested in the form of writing, which is her greatest passion. As somebody with a keen interest in art and creativity, she also enjoys videography and content creation, which is expressed on her various social media channels, such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
This blog is a personal digital space Anam uses to express herself and share her journey, lifestyle, writing and thoughts. A variety of mediums are used: blogposts, poems, short stories and book reviews/excerpts.
